(2) For the purposes of subsection (1) a person shall be deemed to be between the ages of eighteen and fifty-five who has attained the age of eighteen and has not attained the age of fifty-six.
(3) Copies of the form in the Schedule shall be furnished to any such person as aforesaid applying for the same to the Local Authority.
5. If in any case it appears to the Local Authority that no return has been made or that the return is incomplete or incorrect and that it cannot be completed or corrected without the personal attendance of the person concerned, the Local Authority may require his attendance at such place and at such time as may be appointed, and every person whose attendance is so required shall attend and answer such questions as may be addressed to him for the purpose of enabling the return to be filled up, completed or corrected.
6.—(1) If any person after making such a return changes his place of residence, he shall, unless such change is merely temporary, within one month there- after send or deliver to the Local Authority of the Settlement in which the new place of residence is situate a statement containing the following parti- culars:
(a) his new place of residence;
(b) his old place of residence;
(c) the fact that he had previously made a return under section 4 of this Ordinance and the approximate date of such return.
(2) If the new place of residence is in a different Settlement from that in which the previous place of residence was situate, the Local Authority of the first- mentioned Settlement shall communicate the change to the Local Authority of the last-mentioned Settlement.
7. Each Local Authority shall keep a register in a form to be prescribed by the Governor in Council of all returns made and information furnished under this Ordinance.
8. The Commandant of any Volunteer or other Military Force of the Colony shall from time to time and at intervals of not less than one month forward to information the several Local Authorities the names of all persons

who (a) having previously been liable to make a return under this Ordinance, have been enrolled in such Volunteer or other Military Force, (b) having been dis- charged from such Volunteer or other Military Force, become liable to make a return under this Ordinance.
9. Every person enrolled in any Volunteer or other Persons

10. 11. Any person required to make a return under this Penalties Ordinance who-
(a) refuses, or without lawful excuse neglects, to make or cause to be made a return to the best of his knowledge and belief or to sign it as by this Ordinance required; or
(b) refuses, or without lawful excuse neglects, to attend at any place or time at which his attendance is required under this Ordinance;
or
(c) wilfully makes or signs, or causes to be made or signed, any false return of any matter specified in the return; or
(d) refuses to answer, or wilfully gives a false answer to, any question necessary for obtaining the information required to be obtained under this Ordinance; or
(e) refuses, or without lawful excuse neglects, to perform any other duty imposed on him by or under this Ordinance;
shall for each offence be liable on conviction before a Police Court to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, and in the case of a continuing offence to a
